Led by Jeffrey Mechanick, Senior Project Advisor – NFP Organizations for the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), we will cover key topics in our annual accounting update for not-for-profit and educational organizations, including:
- Overview of what’s currently on the FASB’s technical and research agendas, highlighting projects affecting NFPs
- Implementation guidance and tips regarding the credit losses standard (Topic 326)
- Recent Accounting Standards Updates (ASUs) on common control leasing arrangements and crypto assets
- Current projects on software development costs and environmental credit programs
- Recent discussions with the FASB’s NFP Advisory Committee on current financial reporting issues
- Other recent ASUs and projects-in-process affecting NFPs
